As far as a first time toupee, I'm impressed with its. I didn't know what to expect. The hair looks good and the mesh is a fine mesh. Yes I'll have to get extra help figuring it all out. I was hoping for better instruction though. Telling me to just add tape and stick it on the head doesn't help very much. This came well packaged and tangle free. A hair net kept it all nice. There's plenty of hair to cut and style. I'll definitely need to go to a salon or somebody to help with it.

This toupee is decent. However, there is more than just the application. It needs to be styled to look ’natural.’ That would most likely need to be done by a hair stylist. The quality is decent but the price is too high

Beautiful hair, great quality needed a little trimming to the front hairline but that was it. I usually get custom units from HairDirect but COVID has jacked the supply chain. This unit rescued me. I will be buying a few as backups. And the color was spot on darkest brown. Also the cost was half of what I usually pay. Thank you Lyrical Hair! Update cost I paid was $210 not the current $400 FYI hope my review didn’t cause this huge price increase?

Other peoples reactions to this toupee are cracking me up. No it’s not gonna look good when you first pull it out’it’s gonna be curly and it’s gonna look weird. If you don’t know how to style your own hair, it’s time to learn. Toupees are not something you can just wake up and throw on and expect them to look good. Take it to your hairstylist and ask them what they would do to help it stay on longer, how they recommend styling it and what you can do make it look as natural and flattering as possible. You may have to have them cut some of it, you may have to use hot tools and you’ll probably have to use product to get it to stay where you want. That all being said, this is a really good toupee. The knots in the hair are so small in some areas, they’re virtually undetectable, although in some other areas they are a little bit bigger. But as someone who reviews wigs regularly, I‘m telling you these knots are nice. The hair is also incredibly soft and it’s actually pretty easy to style once you learn how to do it. You can see in my photos that when it first arrives, it’s got distinct, what people called ’grandma curls,’ but even just a little bit of fluffing up made it look a million times better. I didn’t use any products or hot tools to do that. Unless you want your hair to look longer, you’re probably gonna have to have someone cut the back and sides of this for you as it’s pretty long in those areas. But realistically, this toupee looks great. The hair quality is fantastic and it doesn’t deserve this low of a rating just because these people don’t know how to style it. Sorry, someone had to say it.

This is a nice looking toupee. It does need to be styled though before wearing it. We didn't see any hairs shedding. It was easy to apply and stayed in place nicely.

So light and ventilated you do not even know it is on, and can sleep with it on in comfort.

To my great surprise this has been one of the best I've had -- in 13 years of ordering hair systems. Just be sure you are ordering specifically what you want; color, wavy or not, density, size.

Fit perfect easy to install

Obviously this needs to be styled for the individual. I was disappointed it wasn't shipped on a form but it doesn't seem damaged. It's very soft and feels natural. It's not the thickest or most dense unit but that does make it look a little more natural as well. There was no shedding when we were working on styling it. Solid unit.

This is a pretty nice toupee. I'm only taking off a star because I've had a few similar toupees from other brands, and they seemed just slightly better quality. But overall, this one is great once styled. Looks natural and stays in place.

Hair System for Men Toupee: $199 at the time of review

My reason for ordering this toupee is probably not the same as most. I am fortunate enough to have good genetics, so my hairline isn't going anywhere. However, I am into cosplay. I've been looking for the right color and type of hair for one of my latest efforts. This one appeared to fit the bill, so I gave it a shot.

*What I liked*:

This definitely feels like human hair (which the listing claims it is). It's dense, and relatively thick hair. It should be easy to style.

*What I didn't like*:

The first and most important thing to note about this is that the hair is very curly. I am listing this under the didn't like category because none of the pictures in the listing indicate just how curly it is. Everything looks straight in the photos. If you don't want a curly hairstyle, you're going to need to style this. I definitely did.

The thing on note is that there's nowhere in the listing that indicates the origin of this hair. When something is Supposed to have originated from another human being, it's pretty important to me that I can verify that it is ethically sourced. There is no such guarantee in this listing which makes me a little uncomfortable.

The last thing I'll mention is the cost. At $200, you're going to pay a lot for something that you're probably going to have to work with quite a bit to get to a condition or style that you like.

*The Bottom Line:*

Overall, this toupee will suit my needs. However, as mentioned above, my needs are a little atypical. This is going to be used in a costume for me. If this is going to be something you would wear daily as a replacement for hair,I would take a good amount of consideration before you order this. Due to my concerns listed above I'm going to give this toupee three stars out of five. It gets the job done, but not without concerns. I don't think I'd order this over again knowing what I know now.

The hair looks nice with good strong color; the one received is a curly style. The inside that the hair is attached to is a very finely woven mesh; I've seen a lot of women's wigs that don't have mesh as well made as this, and it looks like it would be difficult to for it to fall apart or get pulled out.

I will say if you hold it up to the light there are parts where you can see some light through, particularly the top of the back of the head area, so those areas are quite as thick but they also look like areas where the hair is mostly woven into so this is probably a necessity. It certainly doesn't look thin from the other side and the curls do a great job of covering everything.

It looks like a good piece to me. The hair feels like good quality and I'm impressed with the underneath part, and after some styling the top looks pretty realistic, too.

This hair topper is a solid choice for adding volume and coverage. The human hair is good quality and blends well with my natural hair. My uncle appreciated the comfortable fit. While he stated it is not perfect, it helps to boost his confidence.

The hair is soft with a natural sheen to it. It's well made and I didn't notice any shedding. The hair used on the model seems more straight than the unit I received, it's more curly around the crown. It's still a nice quality hair piece.

At my stage of life I have lost a bit of hair and when the opportunity came a long to get a hair piece that I believed would look good on me I took some quick measurements and placed the order. I am concerned that I may have ordered a hair piece that is to small. My plan is to take it to my wife’s hair dresser and see if she can give me recommendations or maybe schedule to get it set and styled.
Unfortunately It looks nothing like what the images on the listing. Granted the one in the pictures has been styled.
I am also not sure why the hair is shorter than the six inches that is claimed the hair will be. Most parts of the hair piece seem to have hair lengths around three to four inches in length.
Otherwise I like the color and the feel of the hair and hopefully one of these days soon I will be able to place it on for long term use.

The biggest thing to note is that what I received is not quite what is pictured. The toupee I have is rather curly & will take straightening to look like the pictures.

This toupee from LYRICAL HAIR is a quality unit and a good value. The lace is shaped well, lightweight, and breathable. The silicone surround is thin and works well to further secure the unit. The hair is great quality. It's not too thin or too thick. The hair is silky smooth, soft, and healthy from root to end. The density is as described and after a visit to my stylist, this hair system looks awesome installed. For the price, the quality can't be beat and I would totally recommend LYRICAL HAIR.
